Well... Not exactly actually
So Its day 3 or technically day 4 since it is technically Sunday now using wireless N. It doesn't feel much faster all the time and doesn't really go much further probably because a lot of things are blocking. And one reason I've observed why the wireless N router isn't always fast is most probably due to what I'm doing. Like when downloading torrents, more seeds, faster download, likewise, for example Youtube. Less people watching, faster to process and send.
So far, wireless N has been pretty good experience which at the same kind is kinda wasted. Since my router with the D-link adapter, can go up to max 300mbps but my plan is the fastest so far at 100mbps, but on the bright side, at least its prepared for the future. I've decided to hook up my old Canon printer to my NAS once I get it so no one has to touch my stuff while I'm gone for NS.
I'm kinda pissed at Starhub, cause my plan can be renewed but I still do not have the voucher to renew my plan. But like what my sister say, its their lost, since phone will drop in value and I may not need to pay for my phone when I get it, then too bad for Starhub, I may be one customer and the value may not be much ,but if everyone is like that ,its high time they change their strategy.
That's all I have to say for now. Good night and take care everyone!

Almost a week of silence
Hey guys!
So yea... I know my last post was last Friday, but seriously... Nothing much happened. We had our product shoot and kopi session last Saturday. Shoot at Olympus before going down to Macdonald's at Great World City.
Sunday didn't do much and Monday I had dinner with my family at Crystal Jade Restaurant. Tuesday I went down to pass Jimmo Mastering Digital Flash Photography by Chris George as well as install the Western Digital 1.5TB hard disk for Royston and taking his hard disk. I came home and opened it. Interestingly, the cover says Maxtor, but its a Seagate inside.
Today I went down to China Square Central to collect my new router and met Jia Zhen for lunch. I also went down to Funan to get a new casing for Royston's hard disk. So now his hard disk is working fine, I've got my new wireless N router up and running without any problem though its kinda weird for me to type 192.168.0.1 as opposed to what I've been typing for a long time 192.168.1.1. I can change it but not gonna. I still haven't received the voucher for the new phone. And I can renew my plan this coming Friday. Hope it comes soon, really want the new phone. That's all I have to say for now, till tomorrow or the next time. Take care and good night!

Nothing Much
Hey guys!
So yea... Nothing much... I got scratched by Snow White cause I was too slow to react while playing with her. And today at work, I sneezed a lot cause it was very dusty. I also downloaded photoshop express for my iPod touch, not bad at all, but of course, it still can't beat the "original" photoshop on computers.Tired now. Good night everyone!

Working again
Ok... So not really. Just a 3 day job actually. Packing books at my mothers office. Look at how much I've packed!
And that is about an hour before I knocked off! So there's actually more. And for the first time, I met the infamous cat at my mother's office named Snow White. Its super fat!
Sorry for the image quality, taken with a phone in poor lighting.
So yea... That's all I wanted to say, still got work tomorrow. Alone... With Snow White watching me while packing books... Good night everyone! And take care!

First day of YOG
Hey guys!
So yea... Quite a few things have happened and I've pretty much forgotten them. Today is the first day of the first ever Youth Olympic Games and the torch has been passed in Singapore. Kinda lame if you ask me even though there is significance in the relay of the torch. What else... Gonna apply for NS checkup and I went for checkup on my injured knee. The doctor did some exercise on my knee and it seems he expected me to feel pain even after telling him I only feel pain when walking downhill and my knee feels like its giving way when running. The doctor says the only way to check is have MRI. So when I book for NS, probably have to request for MRI. Since my heart sometimes feels pain and the only way is MRI, probably can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
What else... Oh ya! Recently... Seems like theres a lot of weird news like recently, SIA girls smoking in uniform. What gives? They're humans after all. Why can't they smoke in uniform? It doesn't look good I agree, but as I've said, they're human. Can't expect them to change to "civilian" clothes to smoke, then change back and work right? Reminds me of the NS men and tattoos... What the hell man... Its art to some people, and you can't expect them to hide them when its on obvious places like that guy's arm. Someone said to roll down his sleeve. But rolling down means he's breaking "protocol" so if he doesn't do this or do that, it displeases the other, things that can be overlooked just do so.
Another news was, guys carrying handbags, I agree with the author of the article that girls who are not carrying anything should carry their own handbags, if not, guys just look gay... Seriously. And what's with the trend anyway? Just a few years ago, guys carry handbags to school.... And I heard that there are even guy handbags.... I honestly want to curse and swear right now.
So the articles are located here
Can't find the SIA girls smoking
Dating
Handbags
And something that came recently... Food served for YOG volunteers located here. I should probably read the entire article but I'm kinda too lazy. And people say I'm picky. Even if the food is cold and tasteless, I'd still eat the rice and the chicken. So long as its food that I can eat. And there seems to be an idea going on that I eat all fried food and only fried food which is certainly not true. I eat steam, grilled, barbecued and whatever other forms there are. I don't eat all fried food, curry puff is deep fried but I don't eat it.
Anyway... It seems like I have a lot of things to do during the YOG holidays. I've got to complete my projects. And I have to plan slightly more and let everyone know about the shoot to happen on Monday 23rd August. Hopefully I can pull it off with Aryani since apparently... My idea is more of glamour and Aryani is more of cute. Ah well... I guess more important is to try and learn from the experience as well as see the effects. After all, if it is successful, it can be repeated in different locations and situations.
The article on dating, brought up that there is a low marriage and birth rate in Singapore. Which reminds me of what we learnt in secondary school and reminds me of a question I had. If we need more youngsters to help to sustain the aging population, one day, that group of youngsters will become the aging population and require a even bigger group of youngsters to sustain.
Consider 1st generation to have 20
To sustain the 20, we need 40 in which 40 is 2nd generation
To sustain the 2nd generation, we require 80 which is the 3rd generation
And it keeps on going on and on... So eventually, the world may not have enough space to sustain animals and human life. But of course, I'm sure there are people who want kids and some who don't. The only idea I have is for everyone in the world, regardless of race or religion, to work and live together in harmony and respect each other. In doing so, it is possible to help sustain an aging population But of course, without something like money to motivate people to work, its tough. But a motivation I can think of is to create a good life for everyone.
In any case. Good day everyone and take care!

Nearing The Holidays
Hey guys!
So this will be a short one. I suddenly have loads of work to do, video for MD, video for lifeskills and some project for WAD. FYPs! Hope I can do all of them. Plus I have to retake my MOA test. And I was thinking If I should get a Nikon film cameras, either the Ff or F block cameras. Or Nikon D3 but that is damn expensive so I went back to my Olympus choice since the only reasons I want a Nikon D3 is high ISO performance and weight. Weight can't be helped and high ISO will slowly be improved. So I was thinking of getting the Zuiko Digital 35-100mm f2 super high grade lens... But I find that I'll hardly use it, and its seriously too sharp for portraits.
If I do become a news photog, probably will get that. Nikon D3 will also be wasted since most likely will only be used for assignments of which I hardly have. So the only practical solution is the E-3 replacement and Zuiko Digital 12-60mm f2.8-4 SWD high grade lens to replace my E-1 and Zuiko Digital 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 MK I. That's all I have to say. And I met my dear friend Malathi for lunch this afternoon XD.
Good night everyone!

No idea what to write here, lol!
Hey guys!
So... Yesterday I skipped school to go back to Queensway Secondary to shoot and well... I've managed to keep my ISO800 with blur shots, but it seems pleasing though. Some sucked but I'm pretty pleased with the results and the images I've gone through so far. I also dropped by Singapore Arts Museum for First Friday Night At SAM. It was a talk on rangefinder. The images were inspiring and I almost wanted to get a rangefinder. But thinking about it, rangefinder images are similar to SLR images and SLR can do a rangefinder's job and vice versa, only in some case it can't but otherwise, it is possible though some are tough too...
The celebration in Queensway was rioting. Despite being in Queensway for 4 years and helping out ever since I've graduated, this is the most on celebration ever! It is seriously interesting...
So yea... Today I didn't do anything except rot at home, watched Iron Man 2 and had a large pizza... And well... I've got my model! My sayang Aryani! So right now... I'm still looking for helpings and equipment, as well as seeking a location and makeup artist. However... Makeup artist, my sayang's boyfriend has one and will be helping me check, I now have more or less 4 helpers and I should have enough equipment. So just to discuss and find a location and make it happen! I'm excited and nervous though almost everyone helping me are people I know, but I'm nervous because its the first time I do something like this on my own.
That's pretty much all. I miss my dear friend Malathi, she's in Malaysia somewhere. And happy birthday to my little brother Hong Yao! Good night everyone!!!

I wish cameras were the same as the human mind and eye
Hey guys!
How have you guys been? Hope everything has been going well. So recently... Nothing much has happened hence the lack of updates. National Day is coming soon, clearly one of my least favorite holiday. Not that I don't love my homeland, just that I don't enjoy the celebrations.
Yesterday evening and this morning, the sky was amazingly beautiful but sadly, camera technology, apart from HDR photography, has yet to reach the level of detail and colour reproduction has yet to reach the level of the human mind and eye. It would be cool really cool to be able to show people the world as I see it literally rather than just what I see in the closest possible way.
So I have to do FYP AKA Final Year Projects. I'm left with a video for Lifeskills and Multimedia Development (MD), have more stuff to do but currently with 1 project doing a video advertisement of a product our choice. I've come up with the storyboard for my product which would be my soon to come Motorola Milestone. Hopefully I can make the whole thing work, otherwise its just sad. I hope I can pass well enough to go to Poly to take a diploma, probably will think what diploma I wanna take in Poly during my NS days.
That's all I have to say for now. Take care and have a good day!
BTW, Carrier Underwood has a fantastic voice! XD
