Happy Halloween?

Hey guys!

So yea... Been a few days since I blogged but nothing much to say actually... So currently, I have 2 assignments, 1 for 3D animation module and another for Interactive Applications Development module. I have till the following week to hand up my 3D house which I guess is pretty easy considering I just need to make the shape.

Currently my flash game which is suppose to be a shoot the duck game is stuck. I am unable to remove the ducks as I fire and unable to add score, which is pretty much the only things left to do. Hope I can do them tomorrow so I can rest before concentrating on my house.

So yea... That's pretty much all for today. Supposedly is Halloween but neh... I don't celebrate that holiday hahahah.

Good night world! E-5 goes on sale with rebate from tomorrow onwards! Looking forward to getting an E-5 in a couple of years XD

Nothing much

Hey guys!

So quick update, nothing much happened over the past few days and well... I got my TDA assignment 1, suppose to design a house with some stuff inside, I'm done with the house walls and doors which is basically the same as what we did in school except I hope I can change it a little though, but I guess I might redo everything tomorrow such to include another room as well as maybe including a fireplace? Though it won't be very detailed, at least it shows I know how to do something. That's pretty much it, got flash class tomorrow so good night world!

I need motivation and to improve

Hey guys!

So basically today I had a shoot with Rizal and Fizah which BTW, before the day has ended. Happy 11th month anniversary to you 2! I'm happy for you guys! I know it sounds gay to some people but seriously, deal with it! If you're alright with it, good for you!

So yea... I met Rizal and Fizah at Redhill at 9.10am or so and Yusuf overslept, thanks to Rizal for buying big breakfast for me despite it being cold, it doesn't matter XD. And we went to Botanic Gardens and we shot for awhile, changing places and lighting setup before we went and hide from the drizzle before going to shot a couple more shots before it poured down on us and we were hiding in a hut.

So after that we went back, Yusuf came to my place and I helped him solve some problems on his Macbook Pro. For some reason, the system has disabled his usage of stuff that some people normally use such as Registry Edit, Command Prompt and what he told me was the problem, the Task Manager.

So yea... I dropped my FL-36R and FL-50R and my FL-36R has a cracked hotshoe foot and my FL-50R cannot turn on at all... So I'm going down to Olympus Service center after school tomorrow to send it for diagnostic and if the price is within budget, I'll have it fixed. I sure hope it doesn't cost much to have it fixed.

And well... My colours from the shoot are accurate thanks to the 18% grey card which is a little bent now, which has gotten me to decide to do my DIY folding 18% grey card. Hope I succeed with that idea.

I've also learnt that I still have a lot of room to improve. I also need motivation. I feel that I'm losing motivation and ideas. So if anyone has any advice, do write down in the tag box. TIA!

So... Just to share 2 images from today's shoot!

Used film simulation as well as border, probably my favorite picture so far

I got this idea when Rizal walked behind and Fizah was looking at him. Gives me the feeling that he isn't talking to her which is quite funny (to me anyway), no idea why I chose this border, but well, I like it.

I want to give a quick thanks to Rizal and Fizah for always believing in me and happy with my work though I'm not happy but because of their believe in me, I'll always strive to improve. Also a huge thanks to my mentor though he doesn't know the existence of this, for always teaching me and helping me both in life and photography, and always believing in me and being proud of me. I will work hard to make him even more proud. And I do agree with what he told me, there's more to this friendship than what we've initially though. And also thanks to Yusuf for being my assistant today though his job was very very SIMPLE! Hahahha. Good night world! Wish me luck for my Olympus flashes!

Pre shoot

Hey guys!

So yea... Nothing much happened in the past few days. Had a lame talk which I don't wanna talk about it. So yea... I went out to meet Krist to borrow his radio triggers and after using it once, I kinda feel like getting 1 set for myself but still considering... Most probably might get one so for things like events, might just get someone or leave my flash on a stand while I position myself somewhere else to get the lighting right.

I went down to Midlink Plaza to get myself a flash/umbrella attachment for lightstands.

After that, I went down to National Museum of Singapore to meet my bud Malathi! It sure is great to see her everytime! So I waited for her to finish work with her friend before she and I went back. She's tired and back is aching (she slept at 9, to me,its too early to sleep, but of course that's just me). And I took the train with her to Boon Lay before I went to get Famous Amos cookies! Long time haven't had those. I feel kinda bad for always dragging her somewhere. But well, I waited for her to take the bus before I walked towards the MRT only to remember that there's Mos Burger at Jurong point.

BEFORE ANYONE ACCUSES ME OF ANYTHING! People who know that I've changed my diet, I did not go to Mos Burger to eat, and those who know me well enough will know that there is only 1 thing I eat at Mos Burger.

Back to the "story", I went to Mos Burger to buy a milkshake! I prefer the Macdonald's milkshake in the 90s, now they just plain suck, so I only drink milkshake from Mac when I go to Hong Kong or Mos Burger's. And the straw had a hole! I had a hard time sucking. So I took the train home and that's pretty much for my day.

Looking forward to Mac breakfast (if Rizal remembers to buy) and I'm currently packing. I feel like I'm going for some extended photography shoot. I seem to be packing loads of stuff... Here's a picture of what I'm packing.

Not everything is there yet, some are in the bag and some are behind me. Because I'm showing Rizal the images when we go for lunch (which usually photographers in most, if not all areas do, carry a laptop that is), I'm carrying my laptop, as well as my external hard disk to pass Rizal his movies as well as softwares for school usage.

The list of stuff I'm carrying are as follow (Please skip if you can't be bothered or find there's too many stuff)

2. Olympus E-P1
3. Zuiko Digital 7-14mm
4. Zuiko Digital 14-54mm
5. Zuiko Digital 50-200mm

7. M. Zuiko Digital 17mm
8. Macbook
9. Seagate external hard disk
10. Sekonic light meter
11. Micro fiber cloth
12. Spare batteries for E-3
13. Card reader
14. Blower
15. 2 triggers and 2 receivers
16. 18% grey card

18. 2 tripod, one cheapo and my trusty Manfrotto 055 pro
19. Lightstand
20. 5 in 1 Reflector

All that and a few other stuff in my bags that need no saying like spare batt for E-PL1, wires etc.

My Chillow is here!

Hey guys!

So nothing much in school today but my Chillow is finally here! And IT WORKS! It doesn't make you feel cold but it does keep you cool, but kinda troublesome at first cause I spilled water when trying to get rid of the air. The packaging was damaged but the product isn't and well, so far it works like a charm! Will try it out through a movie tomorrow!

So I got a new headphone! Sennheiser HD201! Cause my old one the right side sound is nearly gone so its gotta retire, sorry no pictures for this! Forgot to take them, nothing special since probably its quite easily found in shops. So yea... that's pretty much all. Good night everyone!

The package!

The box!

Nothing much

Hey guys!

So yea... Nothing much the past few days, I removed my ear wax on monday and can hear quite clearly now! Saturday there was a bikini model shoot organized by SLR Revolution and Olympus and I went down to help and took some shots.

Just to share some shots

Sheng Liang

Krist

Model 1

Model 1

Model 1

Model 2

Photoshopped with plug ins of model 1

I like Model 1, not in that sense of relationship, but she pays a lot of attention to me. Everything was shot with Olympus E-1 and Zuiko Digital 14-54 Mk I. I've become rusty and feel that the camera isn't working fine. But on computer, it seems that the images are fine and I guess, I gotta learn to trust my E-1 again hahaha! That's pretty much all, Good night world!

Nothing much

Hey guys!

So yea... Nothing much, I've finished my flash work in school and guess what! My book has arrived! Its in pretty good condition except the pages look like they were separated by a pen knife in an messy fashion. But all is well and I'm excited to start reading it! That's pretty much it for today really. Nothing much so good night world!

First 3 days in school

Hey guys!

So yea... School is pretty much the same, we're doing 2 core modules, rather, the only 2 modules left for this term. Interactive Application Development (IAD) and Three Dimensional Animation (TDA). So yea... I had both, and I must say... It isn't that tough, so far anyway. And so I saw my form teacher on the first day of school and I wanted to ask him about attachment. So I caught up with him and asked "Cher! Can I ask you something about attachment? Can we find our own one?". Its pretty much a simple yes or no answer, he told me "its still too early" and its like, what the... Seriously? How is 3 months early considering we have projects and assignments to do? In about 9 weeks, I have to submit 5 assignments and 1 project for IAD and 3 assignments and 1 project for TDA. IAD is easy buy messy whereas TDA is complicated but straightforward.

So I went to class on the first day and apparently, the teacher was one of the teachers in charge of attachment. I asked him and he said that I should take the school's one but if I can find my own one,its also good. So yea, looks like I'll be going to the company which I worked with during the holidays. Hello A for attachment! So yea... I've chosen 10 courses to study in poly, 5 from Singapore Poly and 5 from Ngee Ann Poly, but I try not to go to NP. But most likely, if I really have to put in 6 courses, I'll write 4 from SP and 2 from NP. So here's the thing. I have to serve NS and I can actually apply and they'll reserve the place for me, for 3 years!

So yea... Its pretty much taken care of. So what else... OH! I sent my printer for service. Which kinda ticked me off considering its only 11 months old and my old printer is easily 6-8 years old and it still works without any problem. And now I'm told I have to pay 69 bucks to change the printer head. So oh well... When I went to Canon service center, it pissed me off to see how slow the people walked and how much space they take up despite not being big or fat. And come on! I'm carrying a printer which isn't light! I went to Canon, and apparently, they can't find my record with my current handphone number. Luckily I still remember my old one. And they said my printer is out of warranty when I had the receipt in my bag so its like what the? So yea... Its repaired already and I just have to fork out 69 bucks and collect it next week.

So that's pretty much it. Class tomorrow is from 10 to 5, not as bad as Monday but still kinda sucks... Good night world!

Nothing much

Hey guys!

So nothing much... School is starting tomorrow! And Ben 10 Ultimate Alien is continuing the series! So yesterday or rather... 2 days ago, my sister helped me buy back a foot stool and stool for my fan and now my chair is more or less complete. Just waiting for the Chillow to arrive. And one thing, I find that I keep thinking about X-rite Colour Checker Passport. It's a nifty thing but I wouldn't use it often, sadly.... Oh well! That's all I wanted to say hahahah! Good night everyone!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys!

So I woke up pretty early this morning which seems pretty typical of me on result day. That and the fact that my grandmother's coughing woke me up. I'm pretty tired now so this is gonna be pretty quick. I was resting and then it was 8:05am and I have yet to get my results on my phone. So I logged in to check and.... I PASSED EVERYTHING!!!

Life skills at work place => Good
J2ME Programming => C
Web Applications Development => B
Multimedia Essentials => B

So yea... Surprisingly got B for WAD and B for MME as well when I expected an A, oh well. At least now my cumulative GPA is 3.1 meaning I'm more or less a shoe in for poly! I'm still thinking what to study though...

So I went out to look for mesh lumbar support to increase air flow when I sit on my arm chair because it is hot. I traveled to Vivo then to Marina, Suntec, City Hall and finally Funan before going home. Because of my shoes, I've got blister. After I got home, I went out to meet my brother cause he wants to buy pants and shirt.

I came home, shower and rest then met my brother again cause he wants to borrow my camera and I loaned him my E-3 for the week since I need not use my gear anyway.

And I found a cooling pad for the body after posting a question on Yahoo Answers. And its a brand named Chillow and the reviews were pretty good. So I ordered one and waiting for it to be sent over. If it works well, this is gonna be super recommended!

That's pretty much all for today. Hope the Chillow is worth the money! Good night world!

Results in 7 hours! Different look in my room!

Hey guys!

Wow! Its been almost a week since I last had an entry. Well... Basically I don't remember what I did since there wasn't much... There was an Olympus hands-on on Saturday.

I also talked with my mentor about "photographers" around and he encouraged me to continuously be on the road I am and that he's proud. And I feel encouraged that he is proud of me.

So I went to Ikea yesterday with my sister and we took a cab back after a long time of me getting a shelf and her a cabinet. Why long? Cause she and her boyfriend took their time to eat, then walk about before getting it. We had to call a cab and take a cab home because the bookshelf is pretty heavy and its long! Take a look! Nearly pass the door or just did in terms of height!

And this morning, my chair came! My 68 bucks arm chair! All wrapped up!

After setting the chair in nicely, I assembled the bookshelf which was no easy task considering the manual actually said it requires 2 people to assemble it but I did it alone, though I had to redo the nails because I didn't hammer them in properly because I didn't mark it properly.

So after packing and moving stuff about, this is how it looks like!

It ain't exactly stylish but I like it. Results are going to be out in approx 6 hours 43 minutes at this moment of typing. Hope I pass so I can go for attachment and need not study for exams till poly! That's pretty much all. Gonna sleep soon. Good night world! And good luck to all ITE students!
