Quick update again!

Hey guys!!

So yea.... Too tired to update today and I kinda forgot what happened yesterday so I shall talk about today! Today went to school and practiced setting up in Networking which surprisingly I can do but with a little difficulty, sadly I still can't answer theory questions... And we had maths test!!!

After school I went home on bus 33 since Rizal didn't come to school. Didn't do much except watching shows and sleeping for a while.

That's about it, looking forward to end of exams, studying next week onwards. Changing my controller tomorrow and studying with my brother. Might be going down to Botanic Gardens to do location check though I've been to Botanic Gardens a few times since I started taking photography on a more serious note, thought might be good to go back and survey the scene for a shoot with my cousin. That's about it actually... So yea! Good night everyone! Good lucky to my dear cousin who is having a paper tomorrow and God bless that she'll recover from her cold soon.

P.S. I'm still wondering whats up with my immune system and am in pain due to locked jaw problem.... Gotta see doc soon!

Quickie

Hey guys!!!

I'm in school now, was too tired to blog last night. Nothing much, school, after school watched Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief with Rizal which isn't such a bad movie. Met Krist to take the cameras and went home. And did nothing actually.

So yea... My DIY Mac Pro specs are completed, can't wait to work at IT fair, than can get my Mac Book too and earn some cash to start my DIY Mac Pro. Hope I get scholarship. I can't remember what else I want to say so shall leave it for tonight. Have a good day everyone!!!

Nothing Much... Again...

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Another quick summary, Sunday was spent watching TV, that's all.

Today had school, did assignment 6 which surprisingly I can do. After school I came home then went to the post office, came home and called about my controller. After which I basically watch Avatar and check the price of the parts. I've more or less cut down, so almost done with the making of it. Will post probably tomorrow so yea... I'm tired... I'm tired so quick summarized entry. Friday went to school and didn't do much, eat and watch TV was all I did.

Today had Olympus E-PL1 hands on and it was really cute, more info when I do a review on it. Shoot Chingay and was really tough cause a lot of people and really tired because of that. Shall post photos from Chingay and the hands on soon!

Again Nothing Much...

Hey guys!!! So yea.... Nothing much to update again... Rizal and I spent most of the day watching The Umbilical Brothers and laughing in school. After school I came home, played Gundam and slacked.

So yea! Tomorrow Rizal and I going down to Sim Lim to get price lists and look at the chassis again. Watching movie also, should be True Legend. And well... Reading up on foldable small soft boxes namely this 2 links.

Tomorrow I gotta go library to return books and deposit money into my bank to pay my fines as well as keep them safe there for my Macbook. After getting my Macbook, time to order books, get parts for my new DIY Mac Pro which by the way... the specs are going to be slightly changed and will be updated soon! And continue with bike lessons! Man... I miss riding bike even though not really fun to ride in school... Not with all the cars driving REALLY SLOWLY and other riders having problem moving...

So yea... That's about it for today? Have I missed out anything? I don't think so... So yea... Keep a look out for E-PL1 review with pictures from me in March, exams coming soon, shooting at Chingay this Sat as well as E-PL1 hands on this Sat. Mac Pro specs on its way, story will continue after exams, revising for exam over the next 2 weeks... What else??? Guess that's about it? As well as hopefully finding materials for my DIY softbox, will really appreciate it during my E-PL1 test and my portraits which are outdoors.

OH YA!!! My favorite band Switchfoot, the drummer Chad Butler, is on the cover... At least I think he is, of Drum Magazine!!!



From a photographer's perspective... The image is wow... As a drummer myself, it's a "WOOHOO!!!" moment.I'm gonna look for the magazine tomorrow with Rizal, hopefully I can find it, than I scan big version XD

Nothing Much....

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Rizal didn't come to school cause he isn't feeling well and Yusuf woke up late, lol. So we had networking lesson, aka 4 hours of doing my own things. And after school I skipped life skills and went down to Sim Lim where I took the price lists and I practically stoned at the 2 cases for 5 minutes or so, it may be short, but in practice, 5 minutes is a long period of time.

So after my stoning, I walked around almost the entire upper half looking for cases only to conclude that.... I have yet to choose a case. Sad case man...

So yea... I came home and played Gundam and didn't do much apart from that... Tomorrow will be doing the pricing. School starts at 8am and that's all for today. Short I know... Good night everyone!!!

P.S: Something seems to be brewing at Olympus, rumored to be the E-3 Replacement, SO EXCITED!!! Though I'm not replacing my E-3 yet XD

Last day of Chinese New Year Holidays!

Hey guys!!!

So yea... I didn't update last night because there wasn't anything to update. So today... I basically just watched loads of TV and playing my Gundam Seed Destiny Federation VS ZAFT II Plus!!! It was tough at first, than it got easier and like the previous game, I only used Freedom and Justice and some others which are slightly more powerful like the Strikes. In this one... I mainly use Destiny, Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice. But I've also used Akatsuki as well as Freedom, Justice and just today... I used the Strike Noir! It's fun with its twin pistol and it keeps jumping. I reckon it can go head on with Kira in Strike Freedom and Athrun in Infinite Justice though I used Kira in the Strike Noir.

So... Enough Gundams... Today not much in the photography world... I guess many people are also out celebrating Chinese New Year... I've been at home since last friday and have yet to step out of my house. Tomorrow there is school and I'm pretty excited!!!

So yea... I've decided to change my chassis and go for the NZXT M59 which is as below

So yea... About this chassis... I'm still contemplating if I should get this or the Cooler Master Elite 335. This one has everything I want except the placement of the 2 front USB is too close to each other whereas the Elite 335 is further. Other than that, they're more or less on par with each other except that M59 looks cooler Elite 335 is smaller. That and that Elite 335 is cheaper than M59 as well... And costs less overall since I actually have to put in more fans into the M59 than the Elite 335 but is supposedly better for the system.

I'm also considering changing the stock heatsink for my Quad Core CPU. Not liquid cooling since I'm not overclocking but to better remove the heat... Still researching on how to mount those from the Cooler Master series. Also!!! The power supply unit for the M59... How do I actually power the damn thing? I have no idea how many slots will I need, though probably will just install 4 fans instead of 5 since well... 1 at the bottom beneath the power supple, one at the front for the hard disk, 1 at the back and 2 at the top which I may just install 1 instead.

So there... Probably will be going down to Sim Lim square tomorrow to grab the price list and have a look at the chassis again before completely deciding. Not gonna buy as I've gotta pay my credit card, mobile broadband and saving up for my soon to come Macbook White!!! And also got to rent studio which is gonna require loads of $$$$. No idea when I'm continuing bike but hopefully soon!!!

Also, I did my own film border and I got something like this, it's pretty cool and I find I quite like that kind of effect. Hope to print a a stretch of 5 one day.





So yea... That's all for today. More for my story which has not moved in a week or so, the Macbook final specs, the Mac Pro final specs and parts and what happens tomorrow. Gonna start studying soon again as well, about 3 weeks before exam and we've gotta start rushing next week everyday after school and last week before exams, everyday without going to school.

First day of CNY

Hey guys!!!

So yea.... Nothing much today... First day of CNY and I'm bored as well. Stayed at home and slack and looked for my computer chassis and I guess I'm more or less gonna stick with this.

Cooler Master Elite 335!



So yea... Guess it's ok to let out my DIY Mac Pro specs since not many people know the existence of my blog so here it goes.

Chassis: Cooler Master Elite 335
Power: Not decided yet
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R ATX
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Core Q8400 2.66GHz
Graphics Card: No idea which brand, but its gonna be Nvida Geforce 9800GT 512MB
RAM: 4GB Total, not sure will be DDR2 or DDR3 yet, depends on motherboard which I have to check
Hard disk: 2 Seagate 320GB one for Mac OS X Snow Leopard, one for Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
1 500GB as medium between the 2 OS as well as "backup" (though there is an external hard disk for photos only and another for backup for all my PCs that I use personally) and my old Hitachi (If I remember correctly) to store videos
Networking: Wireless adaptor, not decided yet

So there you have it! A system capable of Apple's OS and Window's OS. Both will contain video and photo editing softwares as well as my usual music, internet and MSN. I have 3 computers by then, my DIY Mac Pro running my usual Windows as well, my future Mac Book running Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7 and of course, my trust Mac Mini running Leopard and XP. Can't wait to start building. I get the case also not really much uses. Since I'm just using it to store probably 1 hard disk drive and slowly build up especially after getting my Mac Book since now I got to save up for it first.

Back to the case... Sleek, black, Guess it will be quiet, unless the heatsink is noisy than I'm gonna be a little ticked off but oh well... Tool less installation is what I'm really looking forward too. What else... There is an accessory to install to control the fans digitally but not gonna get that to use though.

Can't wait for my gundam game to come and for the shop to get back to me about the controller. So yea... That's about it for today I guess. So I shall stop here. Good night everyone!!!

Quick Update!

Alright.... So quick update.... I've checked the parts and availability for my DIY Mac Pro, now need to streamline my list for my mini library. And man... Should I get the Voightlander 40mm f1.4 lens? No aperture ring means I cannot use it on any camera BUT Canons... And since I only own Canon EOS 66 which is my first SLR and Canon EOS 1n, I don't know if I should.

Chinese New Year Eve

Hey guys!!!

So yea.... Today is the eve of Chinese New Year, and I'm blogging for yesterday cause I was too tired to blog and well... I'm not very excited about Chinese New Year... No idea why... Anyways!!! Seems that my controller really has problems and have to wait till next week for a reply on what to do with it. Really disappointed with it and my games have yet to arrive too... Like... What the hell?

So yea... Yesterday had programming where time seemed to pass by really really quickly for some reason. So yea... After school we went to Vivo to eat before going home. Getting home I didn't really do much actually.... I don't remember as well, lol.

So yea... I slept early again... Woke up at 6 plus this morning and went back to sleep. I woke up and downloaded Sony Vegas Pro 9, Adobe premiere CS4 and Aperture 3. Now waiting for Final Cut Pro to be downloaded finish to try it.

I've gotta seriously back up all my computers program. I don't see any GUI difference between Aperture 2 and Aperture 3. But apparently there's new features which I can't see yet. Probably after I get my Macbook, install the Aperture 3 and actually using it will I know the difference. So yea... Macbook... Gotta install Windows 7 for school... Can't wait to start building my DIY Mac Pro. Today will be finalizing parts and will be running Quad core instead of i5 due to the lack of i5 parts as far as I know. Probably another 5 years down the road? Than change to whatever is available at that time.

Controller is finally here!!!

Hey guys!!!

So yea... I shall start with my controller...








As you can see, it looks a bit ugly (maybe not to you, but to me, yes it does) and it feels a bit weird to hold. Maybe cause I've been using the original controller for so long. None the less... It works well both on PC and PS2 and I'm seriously rusty playing with PS2 to the point I had troubles playing. And my games are not here yet... So sad...

Anyway... Today in school had network security and computing maths. Stupid teachers... Anyhow mark attendance end up I also got debarment, lucky everything solved now its Rizal, Naaz, Madinah and Yusuf who need to apply. Not sure about maths and programming. So tomorrow I have programming and hopefully! My game comes tomorrow. Though highly unlikely.

Anyway... Here's a picture of the view of Lengkok Bahru just now... Made me realise that I should invest in filters... Digital processing sucks, maybe I'm just not up to standard yet...

Another boring day,,,, Running out of titles seriously

Hey guys!!!

So yea... I'm seriously running out of titles.... I need excitement in my life!!! It seems no one visits my blog... I don't know... Then again... Not many people know of its existence so whatever XD

So today had networking where I didn't listen as usual and life skills where we didn't do much. Only Madinah and I went for life skills with a few others. Than after that, Madinah and I took the same bus cause she went to visit a family member and I dropped off at the same place as her before walking a little further down to take another bus. As secondary school just ended... Scared no place to get off.

So yea... I came home and started transferring hard disk here and there between my computer and Royston's computer and I got a little electric shock. And later waited for his computer to check the hard disk after a few unsuccessful boots and changed back. His computer seems to be function well... Tomorrow will install my wireless adaptor and run his and see what's the problem...

Alright... Looking at my Canon EOS 1n, I was thinking of buying the EF 24-70mm f2.8 L lens and EF-70-200 f2.8 L IS lens, but both are so ex, I can buy my Zuiko Digital 35-100mm f2 lens. Looking at getting a EF 35mm f2 for my Canon and OM 28mm f3.5 and OM 35mm f2.8 for my Olympus to use as well as using it on the Canon EOS 1n and my Olympus DSLRs via adaptor.

Macbook coming soon!!! Can't wait for my controller to come tomorrow night. Hope my game faster come!!! I can't wait to play Gundam Seed Federation VS ZAFT II Plus!!! I'm so gonna own every gundam XD.

Kinda tired so quick update. Rizal is sick didn't come to school. Programming ended pretty fast. Maths was boring. Changed my order for my PS2 controller, my gundam game was shipped out and I order from another guy. Controller coming on thursday night.

Another boring day

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Today had PE and networking. And I submitted my testimonial for the scholarship. After school Rizal and I went back to Queensway Sec to pass photos before going to Great World to watch Spy Next Door again. After that I came home and have been basically rotting until now.

That's all for today... So yea... Gotta find a place to repair and clean the cameras... And I don't know what to do with them since they're old and I have no place to keep them. I myself having OM1 and OM2n, EOS 66 and EOS 1n. I guess I can talk to the shops to see what can I do about it as well as talking with my mothers' friend to see if he still wants it. The only camera that really interests me is the Rollei....

Yet another boring day

Hey guys!!!

So quick update... I did nothing today... Really, except meeting Issac to let him use my mum's laptop to check his E-mail and ordered a PC/PS2/PS3 controller. And my mother's friend gave me his old cameras he fiddled with when he was younger. Cameras made in the late 1960s to 1970s I believe. It ain't cheap at that time....

A rollei 35 which I believe is the first model. Some Ricoh SLR and Fujichrome I think? Also an SLR. Stupid way to mount, screw the lens on... Serious waste of time... Makes me wonder what the heck were the companies thinking... Lucky we don't have that anymore XD

They're not in the best condition, all have fungus in lenses and viewfinders. Paint peel and a little rust and best thing! The rollei cannot advance film forward... What the hell right? Hopefully repair ain't gonna be very costly... I'm very excited to clean the Rollei, the other 2 can take my own sweet time to clean since I have too many SLRs. I don't have anymore space for cameras man... LOL!!! And also some external meter for Canon FP camera which doesn't seem to work unless attached to the camera for power. And 3 flashes, 2 from Rollei and 1 from Metz. I only tried the Metz and fired without problem. I was scared that there might be a mini explosion (I'm exaggerating, but I'm scared of what might happen).

So yea... That's it for today.... Gonna sleep soon and going back to Queensway for lunch and get my testimonial. Can't wait for my Gundam Seed Federation VS ZAFT II!!!!

A few days of not blogging...

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Sorry about not blogging for the past few days, just that I've been really busy and really really tired. Lets start with wednesday.

Come to think of it.... I only remember skipping life skills... I don't remember anything else... OH YA!!! NOW I REMEMBER!!! I home with Rizal to grab my gears before going back to Singapore Poly School Of Business of the SOB Bazaar! And I was shooting the "opening" as well as fashion show. It was interesting and I learnt how to use my flash better. But not much photo to take so ended up only having 30. I felt so encouraged when someone thought I was the official photographer though I was like... Half official only, lol. And well... I met the organizers and they seem like nice ladies. I felt a little intimidated and I accidentally squeezed their hands a little bit too hard when I shook their hands, lol. Went home and edited the photos before sending them to Vivian who forwarded it to Steffi. Thanks Steffi for the experience!

On to Thursday! What did I do? Had school in the morning and I had ITE year 2 specialization course after school. Rizal, Madinah, Yusuf, Naaz and I skipped maths to go to Clementi to have brunch before going back to library to pass time and going for the briefing. It was pretty boring and had to take some photos. Also, Rizal and I are eligible for a scholarship. But thanks to Mr Goh, who informed us late, we had too rush to submit. I went home and did my application and prepared the necessary documents.

Friday! Morning I have permission to skip programming where the class did project 2 and got the startup file for assignment 3. Have to get it from Rizal. I went to Chinese Garden for my sec school cross country and BOY WAS IT HOT!!! We finished around 11 plus before I went back to ITE Dover to meet Rizal to have my brunch, photocopy the things I need before an insane call rush to Singapore Poly friends and ITE Dover teachers to try to print Rizal's form for the scholarship. I ended up running home, printing for him and running back to Dover to submit. I was very very tired when I got home. I transfered the photos at night and edited a bit. Though I was tired... I could not sleep.... No idea why. Lijuan talk to me until quite late cause she was having problems and I feel very encouraged by her that she wants to be a little like me. I ended up sleeping at 2 plus close to 3.

Saturday is pretty slow, with me watching lots of old stuff and editing all the photos from the past few days. that's pretty much it for today. Bought Gundam Seed Federation VS ZAFT II so now can use Destiny, Legend, Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice! I feel so poor, lol. Hope I can get that scholarship, so I can build my DIY Mac Pro quickly. And looking forward to getting my Mac Book! No idea why I cannot trade in ASUS laptop to Epicenter. They said branded laptops, and I have no idea what they mean by branded. Another person E-mails me telling me they accept Lenovo, HP, Dell, Fujitsu and can't remember what else. But MSI,NEC, ASUS, ACER, Compaq, Gateway are not on the list for sure. LG and Samsung and Panasonic too! WTH right?

So yea... Monday gotta take my testimonial for the past photography work I've done in the past 4 years to submit for my scholarship application. Submit photos and have lunch too. Got to speed up revision for exams as well and work on my story which has not move for days... I realise my "To Buy" list for this year is pretty small, which is good! Just 5 things... Books for my mini library (which I so gotta update and streamline my list), motorbike, iPad, Mac Book and my DIY Mac Pro. Gonna be an exciting year in IT and photography business for me. Just hope my love life will not sink any lower.

First day of school after the fire

Hey guys!

So yea.... Today is the first day of school after the freaking fire... And I have to say... it has caused us a lot of trouble finding our new classrooms and so. Luckily we're moving school so WHATEVER!

So today had programming where I slacked since I'm done with my work. And C maths was boring as well I end up typing my story which is currently at 15.05k if I'm not mistaken... After school, Rizal Yusuf, Madinah and I walked over to Fushionpolis Starbucks to get a drink before going to SP. Afterwhich Rizal and I went home to get some stuff before going back to SP to study.

Surprisingly, for networking, I only have 11 chapters to study, first chapter need not study, and I've studied chapter 2. I am so proud of myself. Exams is a month away and I've got a lot to catch up. Anyway, Rizal and I had KFC for dinner and we waited for Fizah before heading home.

That's all for today. I'm gonna go sleep soon. Tomorrow shooting a fashion show and skipping Life Skills for that, and have networking in the morning so good night!

Boring day

Hey guys!!!

So yea.... Fire broke out in school so no school today and the whole day, I'm literally dying of boredom. This morning I met Rizal and Fizah to send Fizah to school before Rizal and I went to Queensway to have Mac breakfast and send his PSP to the shop to see. Sorry about the PSP Rizal. Stupid uncle sell us recon set which is not working properly giving us crap reason. To think my brother and I bought from him and mine still has no problem.

In the end, we send to another shop to have it fixed. Not sure how long is it gonna take but in the meantime, I lent Rizal my PSP since now no games for me to play and I should really get off playing Gundam.

I'm quite sad right now cause I really want to play Gundam OMNI vs ZAFT II which has Destiny, Legend, Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice!!! And it's only for PS2!!! WTH!!! And I've watched finish The Suite Life On Deck, waiting for new episodes of Ben 10 Alien Force, The Suite Life On Deck and Wizards Of Waverly Place.

My story currently clocked at 14.6k words. I find the ending a little draggy so might have to change it a little. Read a little bit on filters.

I still can't get my mind off the photos of the tigers at National Geographic at Vivo. But very ex.... S$149 for replica if I'm not wrong. I so have to use finish the Ilford 3200 film in my Canon EOS 1n and the Ilford 100 in my Olympus OM1.

Muscles aching

Hey guys!!

So yea.... Finally can drag myself to blog... Been tired alright? So yesterday was Beach Fiesta and I went to Habour Front to have breakfast at Mac and I saw my poly classmate. Than I went to Vivo to take the monorail to Sentosa and I saw my PE teacher. And so, he, myself and his kids went down to Siloso beach and I went shooting... Nothing much to shoot actually, sun wasn't that favorable but ah well, cleaned it up in post processing. Aryani was there! Crazy little person! Haha!

So yea, I left in the afternoon and got my book, the same one I got for Nyiyaz for Christmas last year. And I was reading it while waiting for Justina. When we met up, she literally dragged me around shopping until we went to eat and waited for Melanie so we all could go watch Hachiko. Since Melanie came at the last minute, we had to get one more ticket and luckily I managed to get the last ticket. Way up front 2 seats away from the aisle, nice seating eh?

It was seriously touching I nearly cried. Justina and Melanie cried. I was seated between 2 couples with their girlfriends on each side, and both of them cried as well. So yea, after the movie we went and had dinner at Adjisen before heading home.

I suffered minor sun burns around the neck and the back near the neck, as well as my lower arms which wasn't painful but just extremely hot. Which led to me showering without the heater on. And I slept pretty early.

Today I didn't do much, basically edit photos and took a couple more of my SD Freedom gundam. Edited finish the photos from yesterday. What else.... Oh ya!!! Tomorrow there is no school. Why? Because the staff room was on fire and so class is canceled. So tomorrow, Rizal and I are going down to Queensway to see if his PSP really has a problem and for me to test to see if his PSP custom firmware has any problem. I can't play Ben 10 on my PSP after upgrading to GEN D3.

That's pretty much it... I'm tired so gonna go hit the hay soon. Hopefully tomorrow I can do something more fulfilling, so good night everyone!!!
