Hey guys!!!

Nothing much, spent most of my Saturday relaxing and then assembling a wardrobe for my sister. Today I went to watch Pirates Of The Caribbean. It isn't the best, but it ain't bad either.

Also, here is my first HDR panoramic shot with the D3! I'm amazed, 9 frames 1 stop bracketing!

Nothing much

Hey guys!

So yea... Nothing much, I moved some stuff to the new office already. What else... OH! I finally hung my photos on the wall!



Used Joe's sticky stuff to hang it on. Cleaned it with the ultimate cloth as well! All bought from Vat19.com! Thanks a lot guys!

So what else.... I'm looking for an A3 photo printer. No idea why I want it but yea, I'm like whatever. If I can find a good priced one then good, else whatever. That's pretty much all for today so good night world!

Still learning!

Hey guys!!!

So a quick entry before I go for lunch. Nothing much happened as I was mainly in the new office setting up the tables as well as watching the contractors laying out the power and Ethernet cables.

So yea... Loving the D3 and missing the E-3 hahaah. But here are some shots I took, not really anything spectacular but I'm still learning ok? Hahahha. Have a nice day everyone!

Almost been a week!

Hey guys!!!

Its been almost a week since I last blogged and I aplogize for it as I've been tired and busy lately. So lets see... Worked on Friday, Saturday and Sunday didn't do much. I can't remember actually hahahah. Monday work, Tuesday was Vesak Day, a public holiday which I spent rotting at home.

Today I went to work and its my buddy Malathi's first day! Its great working with her again. So I came to the office with her, went to the new office, went back to the old office for lunch before leaving for the new office to wait for IKEA delivery guys to arrive. They came pretty late and due to technical issues with the lift, we had to take the stairs! My feet are sore as I'm typing right now hahahaha.

I didn't assemble the furniture as the place kinda creeped me out with weird noises and well... I'm just afraid of being alone in a big place so yea...

Also! I met my dear sis Jia Zhen! Hahahah, gonna miss her when I enter NS :(

So yea! I got my new camera today! My Nikon D3!

It certainly doesn't feel heavier than my old Olympus E-3 but it sure lacks the ergonomics of the Olympus cameras, which is quite sad. So far I've set it to my preferences but I will have to actually shoot to refine my settings. It feels lighter than when I held a D2(h or x, can't remember) many years ago.

Graduation!

Hey guys!!!

So yea! Its official! I'm an ITE graduate! Yesterday was my graduation ceremony. I met Rizal in the morning for breakfast before going back to school. Met Madinah, Naaz and J before walking to school. We arrived slightly late, but it didn't officially start till like 10 plus. And everything was off schedule.

We had to sing the national anthem, say the pledge and sing the ITE song, which we never learnt. Then there was a performance. Then its the cert presentation ceremony. The funny thing is, I never knew till I experienced it myself. The file they gave is empty! So yea... I had an empty file and had to collect it after the entire thing was over. We had our photo taken as well, the photography set up 2 monoblocs and yet there were still shadows. Oh well...

After the ceremony, Rizal and I went to get out photos and then our certs. We saw a photobooth set up and it says "$10 for photo" and I was laughing with Rizal all the way to the cert collection area. Why? I could take my own photo with Rizal and Madinah and Naaz for free! Hahaha! Yea.... I know... Lame....

So yea... Tuesday was a pretty quiet day. Today Thursday, I went to Tampines. I woke up early only to discover that Ikea opens only at 10. So I played Spider-man Web Of Shadows before leaving for Tampines.

I admire small sized people for being small in cases like this morning. There were a lot of small places where they could ease themselves into whereas... A guy my size... Had to wait for the next train. So yea... Arrived at Tampines and well... Kinda got lost, had to depend a lot on the GPS and Google maps in my phone. Eventually I found the bus stop and the bus to Ikea.

Sadly... I got off one stop too early thanks to my GPS and I had to walk in the rain. Here's the dumb part, my GPS was accurate, just that apparently, it didn't register another bus stop that had a bridge to cross to Ikea. So yea... I covered my bag, dumped everything but my phone into it, covered it in its "rain coat" and covered myself with my Timberland jacket and walked to Ikea. Soaked... I went searching for the stuff needed.

I looked kinda dumb... A guy, soaked almost to the bone, pushing a trolly with 10 table stops, 2 U shaped legs, 36 individual legs and a book shelf. So yea... Soon enough, my boss came, we paid and left. That was pretty much the highlight of my day.

Tomorrow will be the final day of the week... Rest and relax over the weekend, Monday work and Tuesday will be Vesak day! Then Wednesday will be the first day of work for my bud Malathi! And the furniture will be delivered to the new office by Ikea and I will have to assemble it...

so yea... Pretty much all for now... Countdown to next Thursday! Coming of my D3!!! I'm so excited! Before I go. I tested my Nikkor 50mm f1.4D on my boss's Nikon D200 and one thing I have to say. THE FREAKING AF IS SUPER NOISY! Made me decided to go for the Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8G rather than the Nikkor 28-70mm f2.8D. So yea... The 50mm will be my "walkabout" lens while the rest will all be G lenses. Don't think I would want the pin spinning fast and making noise during a wedding vow "speech"? If that's whats called? The part where the bride and groom are saying their vows. Or some other sensitive moment. I might just sell the 50mm eventually and just stick with all G lenses.

Just to share this cool thing I saw. Its a film canister USB!!! So cool! I feel like buying one. Best part? Its random! I could get a Kodak or a Fujifilm. Sensia, Provia, Tri X whatever! They're actual film canisters! Ah... The good ole days of film... I may get a Nikon F4 to use if they work with the G lenses. Then yea... I'll have my first SLR, Canon EOS 66, my trusty "mechanical" Olympus OM2n SLR. And if I do get the F4, modern professional SLR Nikon F4!

Updates

Hey guys!!!

So finally I have some time... Lets see... Recently nothing much happened, I changed my desktop layout for a second display but decided it wasn't my style. And I had to rewire my area just for it hahaha.

Other than that... General Elections(GE) just passed and despite being of age to vote, I need not vote hahaha. What else... Nothing much actually.

Today my package came! Finally! After 5 days -.- I still have my shirts and stuff from Vat19 somewhere in the US. Gotta claim money soon! Oh ya! My old E-3 is sold and sent overseas. My Zuiko Digital 7-14 money just came in this morning, 5 days after the auction closed -.- So yea... I've also arranged to buy a Nikon D3, now waiting for the Zuiko Digital 50mm f2 macro auction to close and hopefully, I can pay off some money here and there. Can't wait for my pay!

So yea... About my package, its my new Giottos rocket blower and Eye 1 Display 2!!!

Oh ya... The other day I tried to shoot some pano images as the sunset was amazing! But well... I didn't shoot properly.... Then I saw the stars and I tried to shoot them. This is just one of the few I've tried.



So yea... That's pretty much for it the past week. Soon it'll be Tuesday then the day after will be graduation ceremony in ITE. My final day of walking in ITE College West Choa Chu Kang. Too bad the Panasonic camera (which is a review unit) don't have the right battery so I can't use it -.- But yea... It'll be a interesting experience. Have to wear long sleeve shirt and tie. I can't remember how to tie one. I'll probably take my PEN to shoot some pictures and maybe the FL-36R. But if Panasonic can pass me the battery soon, I'll bring that instead! Good night world!

One reason is because I've been working recently so nothing much as well and next reason is because I'm busy getting rid of my Olympus system.
