My Mac is finally up and running!

So yea... Basically nothing much happened in school. Teacher let us go home at 11 cause we're ahead and school planned us too much time for this module. I went to eat with Rizal accompanying me before he went for class and I went home and played Call Of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2 and completed it.

The rest of the day was spent tinkering with my Hackintosh until it finally works after installing into the hard disk via my Macbook. And Ophelia is done with my name card. THANKS A BUNCH!!!

Call Of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2!!!

Hey guys!!!

Currently in school right now, and I'm very hungry. Having a short break now. So a quick entry for yesterday. I came to school and went to HQ and turns out life skills is at the main school so walked back and had class. After that was WAD which was boring. The life skills teacher asked my team to do presentation for something at HQ in the afternoon and my year 1 classmate Lu Hui asked me to help her with some photoshop work.

After school I went home and took a shower and played Call Of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2 for about an hour and it was seriously cool and fun! Most fun Call Of Duty game I've played so far. After that I went back to school for presentation. After the presentation, I waited for Lu Hui to finish her class before helping her with her photoshop work. I took bus 33 home and on the highway where the NS camp is, loads of NS guys came on the bus and from enjoyable to killing... I got home, showered, ate a little and then continued playing Call Of Duty until night before sleeping early because I was too tired from the night before hahaha.

Hey guys!!!

So today I went to school and for the first time in a really long time, it rained in the morning! And the PE teacher didn't come so attendance was marked by another teacher and then we're free to leave.

My team mates and I all sat at the foyer discussing the project before going to eat with Rizal. We went for MD then WAD. After which, Rizal and I went to SP to wait for Fizah and all of us including Fizah's classmates went to Clementi to get books. After that, Rizal, Fizah and I went to Jurong and changed train. I dropped off at Bukit Batok and they went home. I met Royston and got his hard drive before we went to get my RAM.

I came home excited and insert the RAM and my computer boots up!!! YAY!!! Sadly... I can't install the Mac OS for some unknown reason so I gotta wait longer. Installed some games, the drivers and Call Of Duty 6 Mordern Warfare 2 at full res without lag!!!

Palit GTS 250 Graphics card!

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Sadly... I can't post any pictures taken at the event but it was fun watching them race though it wasn't very fast hahaha. So yea... This morning woke up and took a train to Yio Chu Kang and met Krist to take a cab to The Calrose (Seriously was wondering, God knows where this place is) before going to the boy's house. After a while we waited outside for the sports cars to come. Total was 1 Nissan GTR (red) 2 or 3 Ferraris(Red) 1 or 2 yellow Ferrari and 1 silver Maserati (not sure of the spelling). I only remember 7 sports car, 1 family car and 1 van (AKA Mark's vehicle AKA Krist and my "ferrari") hahaha. So we left and all of them ran so fast, we couldn't find them and went to the course earlier.

It was hot at the course as the sound was over us. After shooting, Mark gave me, Krist and one of the volunteers a life to Jurong Easy MRT and I met Rahimi! We went to Sim Lim square where again, I had to scour the place for Nvidia 9800 GTX and sadly... There wasn't any... So finding a quiet spot, I went to work to find out if the GTS 250 works for hackintoshes and it does!! So I went ahead and got a Palit GTS 250. Sounds like some cheapo brand but it is ok actually. After that, Rahimi and I walked to Funan and got his lens before having lunch cum dinner(early dinner/late lunch for me) then we went to look for blower and filter and microfiber cloth which we found at SLR Revolution except microfiber cloth was at Challenger but we didn't buy.

We sat down for a while and I taught Rahimi a little more about shooting before attaching the filter for him and heading home. I came home and fixed my graphics card in and everything is in working order.

Yet another 2 days of entries

Hey guys!!!

So yea... The reason I didn't blog last night is cause, I wasn't feeling well.

Friday:
Woke up feeling like crap still having sore throat and body stiff. Moved very slowly out of my house to school. In school I could hardly sit still due to stiffness and teacher as usual had lousy handwritting and didn't talk clearly which lost my attention. I checked my maths results and to my surprise, I got an A! Teacher let us off at 10 plus and I took my time to go home. I got home, showed, took my mattress to my room, on air con and laid down for the rest of the day until about 5 plus. I came out and basically rot in front of the TV with a pillow under my lower back until my mum came home and gave me tablets for my headache.

Today I didn't do much either, watched TV, played Call Of Duty, rewired my new computer and now it can finally turn on with the power button. That's pretty much it. Gotta sleep soon. Tomorrow morning going to The Calrose for a Make A Wish event. Getting my graphics card as well. Good night everyone!! Will posts pictures if I take any!

Nearly ending second week!

Hey guys!!!

So yea.. Its nearing the end of second week and today has been a long and tiring day. This morning I found it hard to get up for school but I left early. In school was pretty boring cause there wasn't much things to do. After school I came home just before it rained and I basically watch Zoids most of the remaining of the day. That's pretty much it, I edited my work site a bit more and will be doing so over the next few weeks or so.

I guess thats pretty much it for today. Oh! And Zana brought her Mac to school today, hahaha! Shall end here for tonight since I don't have much to talk about today. Good night everyone!!!

4 Days to go!

Hey guys!!!

So yea, school started at 8 today and I arrived at like 8:03? Then we learnt a little more on video editing and practiced transition effect, it seems only me and Zana can actually do proper transition such that the background isn't black. Also... Apparently some of them have finished their projects which is like "WOAH! WTH?!?! Why so fast?" and well... I realize that to install premier and after effects on my Macbook is troublesome with loads of tinkering before both work fine but worth it since as long as nothing is changed, it should work properly.

After brunch, we went back to class and practically didn't do anything since we've already finished our proposal. And this has made me realize how SLOW we're actually going. I can see how the video is probably gonna come out and I sure hope it is as so. After school I took the bus with Zana to school and when we got to Dover. We were horrified, and I do mean HORRIFIED! At least... I was.... To see that the MRT station is FULL OF PEOPLE! When we got on our own platforms, its just as bad... Especially near the escalator area. So I walked all the way to the front and when the train come, it wasn't too full and when everyone boarded the train, there was still space to move about. When I arrived at Buena Vista, I decided to go look for my sister at her workplace at Holland Village Video Ezy.

I walked over and after leaving the station not too long, it started to drizzle and as I made my way towards Holland village, it remained constant until I was like, in front of the Holland Village (where the Cold Storage is) did it rain heavier and as usual... I got caught in it. I got to Video Ezy and it was QUIET! So at 4:30, my sister and I left, she went to Clementi with her best friend for lunch and I went home.

Got home and I watched Zoids. I installed office and calibrated my Macbook screen for the Windows partition. That's pretty much it actually... Can't wait for this Sunday to come, so excited for my first high powered graphics card!!! Anyway... I'm gonna go sleep soon since tomorrow is a long day and class starts early. Hey guys! Quick entry, nothing much happened except my Macbook got virus and I reformated it and now installing back my programs. My windows partition,not my Mac partition, and had project discussion today. Its so nice to work as a group for a change, hahaha. Take care and good night everyone!

Will be a quick entry cause nothing much happened today. I basically played Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare most of the day and I completed it in 2 days, hahahha! So other than that, didn't do much but watch bits and pieces of Zoids that are halfway done.

That's pretty much it! Gonna sleep in an hour or so. In the meantime, gonna plan for the week ahead as well as in the near future and my DIY Mac. End of first school week

Hey guys!!!!

So yea! Its finally the end of the first school week, not too bad actually. Just that my class CA teaching is really isn't very good. So I had class in the morning and class ended early so all of us can revise for maths. Rizal came to school! So we went to the library to study but end up playing with my Macbook and playing my iTouch.

At around 2:30 we went for a coke and then for examinations. The paper had me stump for awhile at some questions but I manage to do it and I'm sure I can get at least a C! Results will be out according to the newspaper today (Saturday).

After the paper, I took a cab to Queensway for speech day until it was time to go home. Pretty rushed this year due to approaching storm. The concert wasn't very good either. No idea why. After I came home and shower. I used the computer for awhile before lying on my bed for awhile and I ended up sleeping till this morning.

Today on Saturday, it was spent editing photos from morning to afternoon and from afternoon to night was spent playing games mainly Call Of Duty 4. Now exporting the photos afterwhich I shall sleep. So shall end here for tonight. Good night everyone!!!

Was too busy to blog yesterday and sleepy to do so now, so my entry today will be more or less point form.

Wednesday
1. Woke up earlier than usual and went to school and took a shot of the sunrise on a hazy morning.
2. School had nothing much
3. Spent most of the day rotting at home
4. Mum and sis came home!

Thursday
1. School as usual
2. Met a new classmate, girl, named Jean
3. Got into a group of 4 consisting of myself, Mardiana, Zana and an Indian girl whose name I can't remember
4. Got my Hyper N520 which apparently is discontinued, hard to find in Sim Lim, and a shop quote me $69 for it when the papers state $49 in some shop before finding a shop that sells it for $49
5. Came home and installed it and not working cause no RAM and probably cause I wired wrongly
6. Revise for maths

So yea... Today I had JWP which is life skills at work place which the teacher seems good but we have homework already though its pretty easy. After that we had WAD which stands for Web Application Development and today, the teacher repeated what he said yesterday as well as as some extras and got us to do some practical work. I've gotta install the application as well...

After school I took the train down to Tiong Bahru to buy Long John Silver for brunch. It's been such a long time since I last step into Tiong Bahru Plaza. I went into Challenger to walk around for a while and I saw wireless adapters that works with Mac and people have used it successfully. I came home to eat and researched that before going back to Tiong Bahru Plaza to check, go to Mos Burger to double check online before going up to buy. I came home and immediately tested it and to my amazement. Signal is very good from my mother's room! I'm considering changing my router to N as well, hahaha! Probably in a year or so, I might do it.

Other than that, nothing much else happened today. Gonna start revising for my computing maths tomorrow. Carrying my camera to school and then to Queensway. I shall end here tonight. Good night everyone!!!

First day of year 2!

Hey guys!!!

Today was the first day of school and I must say... It wasn't that good due to me having to run up and down a couple of times and not much teaching today... And yea... I learnt about HTML today, that's pretty much it! WTH right?

So yea... After school, Zana took a cab to work and she gave me a lift, and from City Hall, I walked over to Funan to get my Quad core processor, which I had to wait till 7 plus to get cause the auntie had no more stock and ordered some. So I sat there chatting with the auntie until I got my processor and some thermal paste.

I came home and changed my processor only for the computer to not start up. After changing back, it works and I found out my motherboard only takes up to Core 2 Duo, so sadly... I moved the processor into my Mac. Soon! It shall come to life XD.

To share with you guys, Panasonic just released a video camera that has interchangeable lens capabilitity with micro four thirds lenses to be used on it, read it all here at Four Third Rumors! Really cool stuff!

Roysten is getting a camera for his sister and asked me for a recommendation, other than that.... Nothing else much. And my time table is really eccentric, like, weird, I don't know how to explain, its just weird. for some reason... I feel that I'm forgetting something now... So anyway, I shall end my entry here while I hope I can remember what I've forgotten. Gotta fix my heatsink tomorrow as well cause my computer shut down twice by cutting the power which I suspect is cause I didn't fix the heatsink properly. Good night everyone!!!

Last day of March holidays!

Hey guys!!!

So yea!! Finally its the last day of the holidays and I'm at home... Alone... Without anyone cause my family went to Thailand. So anyway let me remember about yesterday...

Saturday
Woke up and had brunch before leaving for City hall to try and sell my OM2n which sadly, no one is taking in anymore... And sadly... no one wants it... I wonder why... So after that, I went to Hwa Guan to chat with the auntie and I found out something really sad for me... THERE IS NO MORE STOCK OF INTEL CORE 2 DUO E8400 3.0GHz PROCESSOR!!! And there won't be so after a quick research, I decided to go for the Quad Core 2.66GHz instead of the Core 2 Duo 2.93Ghz because those its clock rate is faster, it cache is 1mb slower and transference of information is essentially slower. I can always overclock to 3GHz whenever I need to. Good thing is, I found a wireless N adapter that works on Mac, bad thing is, the guy at the shop seems unsure if it will work with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. So I went home and basically just played games until at night when I went to my grandaunt's place.

I passed to her my laptop and I've gotta help her get the adapter and tried to fix my aunt's laptop which she claims she didn't hit or throw or drop it out of anger... Which I have my doubts because Josephine, my ex-classmate, dropped her laptop and it gave more or less the same error. And the laptop is one of the oldest in the family, so I told her to get a new one instead. that pretty much concludes my Saturday.

Sunday
So this morning I woke up and had breakfast and played my games pretty much most of the day. My aunt came over and asked me to help her edit a photo for God knows what purpose. Other than that... Pretty much nothing done today. School starting meaning I should start with my reading in photography and Hackintoshes as well as editing photos...

I am seriously pretty nervous about getting the partners award. I don't really enjoy getting on stage which explains pretty much why I'm nervous.

So anyway... To those who do not know what I'm studying, I'm taking a Higher Nitec cert in information technology, we deal with computes and softwares etc. And yesterday, my aunt asked me a very interesting question. She went "Matthew, which of your friends can I trust to repair my laptop?". Hello? Do you not understand what I study in school?

I am seriously gonna miss Rizal... Not being in the same class, but probably will schedule with him to meet one day after school to share what we've studied for the week. Tomorrow will be getting my processor and I hope my pay from Olympus comes soon so I can buy and build more or less finish my Mac. Hopefully someone buys my OM2n as well...

Anyway, thats all for today!!! I won't be showing my new processor mounted onto the computer yet because I'm gonna install it in my current computer to make up for the loss of 1 GB RAM temporary until my new Mac is capable of booting up. And shall update on my first day of school! Wonder what and where to have dinner tomorrow since my grandmother isn't working... Hmmm... Good night everyone!!!

Busy friday

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Basically this morning, my feelings were cheated because the time table for school isn't out. In fact, at this moment in time... It still isn't out!! What gives!!! Poly ones are out online and ours aren't! So anyway... I went down to Pasir Panjang to have a look at the OM35mm f2.8 and found that it really isn't to my like on four thirds so I gave it a miss despite the good price.

I went home and played NFS again before going back to ITE Dover to check what class I am. If I remembered correctly, I am in IT2Q. And supposedly I understood what the lists says... Turns out I'm havind WAD from 2-4 on the first day of school. Not sure what WAD means but only one I can think of that makes sense is Web Application Design. But since my timetable isn't out yet... I have absolutely no idea.

I went back to Queensway Secondary school for Speech Day rehearsals after that and I got my letter for the partners award. Great.. I get the award letter but not scholarship letter... Honestly speaking... What's the point of setting the deadline for ITE students as 6th Feb when Poly and Uni students get 31st March??? And still no news! Make us wait for nothing...

After rehearsals, I went to my grandaunt's place only to find no one is home so I walked to Bukit Mearah to deposit money and pay my credit card bills before going home by 139.

Play NFS for most of the time and had ice cream. Yummy! A tasty treat that I sadly mostly eat at home and can only watch others enjoy due to my weird stomach behavior...

Anyway... Tomorrow I will be heading down to Adelphi to try and sell my Olympus OM2n. Hopefully I get a good price for it. Will be asking auntie to bring in the processor and either get it tomorrow, Sunday or Monday. Very soon!! My Mac shall rise!

Last night I had a weird dream... I got into a relationship with a girl. That isn't the weird part. The weird part is that I don't know her... Not dumb enough? Get this... I have never even met her before! And we're at this bus stop around Redhill Road that DOESN'T EXSIST waiting for a bus that goes to the west though she lives in the east. And bus 63 stopped there and I saw my old church friend on the bus looking very different. People say dreams are visions of the future, or things that our subconscious think about... Any other ideas? Leave a comment in the tag box. I don't think this is a vision of the future though I do experience dejavu pretty often. Though I want to have a serious relationship with a girl. Why a girl that I do not know and have never met? Why not someone I know? At least that makes more sense.

Still nothing much

Hey guys!!!

So yea.... Nothing much happened.... I kept playing Need For Speed: Underground 2. Tomorrow will be going to see an OM35mm f2.8 with the original case!!! AND CAPS!!! AT $190!!! This is so gonna replace my Voigtlander lens. And I can use on both my OM and Canon! Though Canon will be a little dark, but since most likely I will be using hyper focussing, doesn't really matter so much.

Class time table will be out in another 6 and a half hours? Sadly... Rizal and I are separated... Will be calling my class advisor see if I can transfer class instead. Hopefully yes, if not... I'm seriously gonna mix with IT1C students instead.

I feel so broke.... Tomorrow paying my Citibank bill and gotta start paying for it.... This month all my money will be sent to my DIY Mac, next month will be my wireless adapter, paying bills and my Macbook installment. And maybe even flash. June will be bills and Macbook installment and maybe my flash. July will be split focusing screen for my Canon EOS 1n, bills and maybe books. As well as installment.... So hopefully I can get the scholarship to help ease my finances especially since I'm not working anymore.

That's all for tonight... Nothing much... Tomorrow there is speech day rehearsal full dress. So yea... Will be interesting to see full dress rehearsals again.

Nothing much

So yea... Nothing much happened yesterday, I spent most of my time downloading and watching Zoids as well as playing Need For Speed: Underground 2 until like 4 this morning hence was too tired to blog.

Yesterday my aunt came over to take her Sandman comics she asked me to download for her and I was thinking... What the effing hell is CBR? Turns out the extension is CBR but can be opened with Winrar when you change the extension to RAR.

So yea... Today has been pretty interested watching gluttons in action.

So yea... Today I went back to Queensway Secondary to pass photos before going home and taking a shower before running out to Plaza Singapura to meet Justina and later we later met Melanie. Justina shopped and when we met up with Melanie, they went shopping again.

After that we took the train down to Serangoon and changed to a bus and went to a place called Chomp Chomp Food Center or something like that, I only remember the first 2 words. At first I thought they were talking Chomp Chomp as a nickname but turns out to be a real place. And when they bought food and eat. The food wasn't suitable for me and Justina literally kept on forcing me to eat, hahahha!

So after eating we walked around before taking a bus to Hougang Mall and they went shopping at some tiny shop before walking over to Hougang Mall to shop for clothes and then went to the food court to eat desserts. After that we went to the bus stop, Justina took her own bus while Melanie and I took the bus home. So I dropped off at Bukit Mearah and walked home. Thank God I'm not really afraid of the dark anymore otherwise I'd probably be freaked out.

That's pretty much my day... I've been reading how to install Snow Leopard and what needs to be done so it can run efficiently. I am seriously excited!!! Anyway... Before I end, here are 2 pictures of bread made by Justina and Melanie on my iPod touch.

So yea... Today didn't do much... Was pretty much at my computer the entire day editing the Queensway Sports day photos and FINALLY!! They are done!!! Tomorrow will probably be working on the Church photos.

So I called Canon today and apparently I need to order the split focusing screen before they can change for me so ok... Fine... No biggie! So one day... I shall drop by Canon show room at Vivo and get them to order for me XD.

Tomorrow will be dropping by Queensway Secondary to give the photos as well as confirm rehearsal dates for speech day.

I can't wait for my pay from Olympus to come in XD. I wonder whatever happened to the scholarship. That's pretty much it for today... Nothing much actually so good night everyone!!!

FINALLY!!! IT LIVES!!!!

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Nothing bad is alive, just my computer... It's been down since Friday? Somewhere around there and been trying to fix it.... Good news, my computer is working and my DVD for Windows 7 still activate, cause I changed the hard disk and it doesn't activate. And turns out, after all the shit things I went through, it's just the RAM that has a problem, so now my computer is working but with noticeably performance lag.

Currently my photos to edit list are as followed which includes my other have yet to do events:
Rizal and Fizah Studio - 61
Queensway Sports day - 350
St Bern Baptism - 229
Some company event - Expected for 3 days at least 300
Queensway Speech day - Expected at least 350
Make A Wish Foundation - At least 70

Totaling to about 1360 photos to dish out, not including next Sunday's tentative shoot at Punggol and God knows what last minute shoot or outing that may come out all of a sudden....

Calling Canon later in the afternoon about the focusing screen. What else? 1 week to school!!! WHEE!!! 11 days to re-examination!! BOOO!!!! Oh ya!! I've decided on Cokin filters cause apparently, as far as I understand for now, it's cheaper. My list for the filters is:
77mm-67mm Step down adapter
Adpter for Filter
ND2,4,8 Filter
GND 2,4,8 Filter
Circular polarizing filter

That's pretty much! I wonder when the news for the scholarship is coming.... I can't wait for my DIY Mac to run, hopefully I can get it to run in the first place.

Dead Beat...

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Since I last left you, I went to church and shot pictures and came home feeling dead tired... That's pretty much it.... I just transferred all my files into the new hard disk, will be installing everything tomorrow.

So yea... Busy week ahead, editing photos, shooting event and going back to school for class. Calling Canon about split focusing screen.

So yea... In a nut shell, I have to :

A long day

Hey guys!!!

Sorry for not updating last night as I was pretty tired. Basically I woke up and had breakfast before meeting Justina at Hougang Mall at around 3. The journey there didn't really feel long. Hougang mall seems smaller than Tiong Bahru Plaza been at the same time, seems to be more happening. So I took Justina's laptop and we went to Mac cause she feels bad I went there to take her laptop and so she treat me to apple pie before she went to buy food home.

So I took the train home and being Good Friday... There is a lot of people. So I got home and started changing my hard disk and installing the OS again due to some unknown errors causing blue screen, which is seriously pissing me off... Hopefully my new computer doesn't have that problem. While the OS is being installed, I worked on clearing Justina's laptop until almost 4am. Her computer now boots up slightly faster, shuts down a lot faster, process a little faster and her hard disk free space has increase from 20GB to 48GB, not a lot but still quite a lot actually. I was installing the Vista service pack 1 which took a very long time. I wish I didn't have to install it but sadly I have to if not the Adobe Master Suite cannot be installed.

So currently now I'm installing the Adobe softwares... Though I wonder... With Justina's course... Why do they need the softwares from adobe? Photoshop probably... But Premiere? After Effects? Dreamweaver? What the heck? Ah well... So yea... Later shooting my mother's church baptism and I have to edit a hell load of pictures especially since my computer had problems, I have to re edit those I've already edited. After installing for Justina, have to clear again... Later my desktop needs to have the screen calibrated and "essential" softwares installed, I guess I won't spend so much time installing everything since I'm building my new computer. Maybe I might since I'm not completely sure when my new computer will be finished. So anyway... Have a good day everyone!!!

Queensway Sports Day

Hey guys!!!

So yea... This morning didn't do much and I went for Queensway's Annual Sports Day!!! I sure do miss the atmosphere there! And well... I took like... 391 shots? And Thanks to Krist for loaning me his Cokin filters, making me consider getting my own set of filters and the weather was great today as well! I went to the library before I went to the sports day.

Other than that, I slept for awhile due to body heating up, muscle ache and no proper sleep for awhile and have been editing photos since then till now. So these are some shots that I find I like personally or find them funny and I'm sharing them with you guys. Good night everyone!

Hey guys!!!

So yea... I am pretty beat because I couldn't sleep properly the entire night and I kept waking up since 7ish am. At 8 I was checking my phone for exam results and decided to check it myself at 9 plus and woohoo!! I got a D for my Networking module and I need not repeat the module! Sadly... I still got to re study for my computing maths exam...

Didn't do much today... Had pizza again, hahaha. Met Justina this morning to take her PSP to see if I can convert the videos for her, apparently I can, but she can't so tomorrow gonna send her format factory to try.

That's pretty much it, charged my batteries and packed my bag for sports day tomorrow. And the bar inside my closet dropped and I threw all the clothes on my bed for my mum to see because 95% of the clothes are hers, I am serious!

So yea... I'm gonna sleep soon and gotta pack my room soon as well, get rid of all the clothes I can't wear... Good night everyone!!!
