Woah! Almost a week has passed

Hey guys!!!

So yea... Attachment is ending soon. Meaning NS is coming close as well. Nothing much other than work. I don't remember much either hahaha.

Had kopi sesion on Wednesday and well... It was probably the smallest one ever. My mentor Clifford couldn't make it, he's back in Hong Kong now if I'm not wrong, he should be going back to China soon. God bless him. Great man, I seriously can't stop saying how great a man he is XD. But he's not the greatest of course, but he certainly is great XD

I collected my E-1 from Olympus yesterday, the grip looks as good as new. Except the back which I didn't ask to change. Stupid mistake, the thing started to come off. So I went online to look for gaffer tape and lucky for me! The Studio Outfitters have them in black and pickup point was at Clementi! So I bought the smallest roll and came home to start taping up my E-1.

Lucky for me, it's a little water resistant. Though its not meant to be replacement for weather sealing my E-1, most importantly is that it keeps the rubber from flapping about when using it or completely falling apart when I use it and the rubber starts to fall down the road. I taped up the back as well to prevent me from pulling the whole thing off.

Before, the front.

Before, the side

After, front view

After, rear view

Ain't the prettiest thing around, but it gets the job done! And it doesn't feel too bad touch wise, and it doesn't affect the ergonomics!

So yea... My packages finally came yesterday! No idea why DHL always sends to the wrong facility then corrects it.

My Packages! Still in their boxes!

My packages outside of their boxes!

My packages contain my books and photography stuff!
1. Quantum Turbo Battery UK Charger
2. Quantum Flash Cable for Olympus FL-50/R
3. Lumiquest Midibouncer for handle mount flashes
4. Mastering Digital Exposure And HDR Imaging by Chris Weston
5. Mastering Digital Color by David Saffir
6. Mastering Digital Printing by Harald Johnson
6. Colour Correction For Digital Photographers Only by Ted Padova
7. Practical Colour Management by Eddie Tapp

Quite a lot of stuff, can't wait till March! Will be ordering a couple more books as well as a few stuff from Vat19, full of awesome and weird stuff! And I might be getting another dry fit shirt! And maybe a business card holder :S. Still deciding on the books though, got some good ones. OH! Not forgetting Joe McNally's Language Of Light DVD! Its pretty ex actually... USD $160 if I'm not wrong, but well... No point holding on to so much money. Pursuit of knowledge is priceless!

So today I went over to my buddy, Jimmo's place for his son's first month! Check the pictures! Shot with Olympus XZ-1, which by the way, is so quiet it reminds me of rangefinder cameras and I'm now seriously tempted to get one for myself. Though I'd wait for noise control to be fixed, at the moment even ISO 100 is noisy, 400 is blotchy. I wouldn't mind the noise and treating this as a film camera, but please no blotchy noise removal.

Father and son soft moments, soft focus art filter

Father and son quiet moments (Seriously! The XZ-1 is a life saver! none intrusive picture taking! Gotta hand it to compact cameras eh? :D)

I'm pretty sure that's a smile :D

Family portrait, not the most well taken, not well lit but definitely a moment that will last forever in the family!

Man... What a cute baby! His name is Yujin by the way. Apparently pronounced the same as Eugene. The reason why I asked Jimmo how to pronounce Yujin's name is because, as a Chinese, Yu is not pronounced as You/Yew/Eww but pronounced as Yu. Hahaha! Well, in a couple of years, someone would call me Uncle Matthew for real. Though not related by blood, but its respect I guess :D

After I was done, I went over to Royston, my secondary school friend's home to check his laptop. Then I struggled to get home as I was very tired. Hahaha.

That's all for tonight! Tomorrow meeting my dear "sister" Jia Zhen for dinner and meeting auntie Wendy to pass her the E-PL2! Good luck to Jia Zhen for her interview tomorrow! I hope she gets a new job so that she wouldn't waste her life away at her current one. Good night world!
