Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010!!!

Hey guys! Another entry for today!

So today I woke up,had breakfast and called Cathay Photo to ask if they have the Olympus VA-1 and they do, yay right? I asked for the price and the price was $360 so I said that that day when I was a the Marina Square branch, the guy there quoted me $320 and well, she was able to give me that price and I went and get it in the afternoon. So here it is, the Olympus VA-1!!!

It's really big and bright but a little hard to see since I'm not used to it. Honestly, if I have the money, I would rather use the waist level finder on medium format cameras but oh well! It really helps in manual focusing, not that I had any troubles to begin with.

I swear this was done with manual focusing, not auto!

My trusty Mamiya M645J!

So after that I came home and basically just watched videos on youtube, mainly Digimon, watched a little TV and eat.

2010 is a pretty big year for me cause it marks the end of my year 1 and start of my year 2 in school. Its the year I turn 21, no longer a teenager but a young adult. Also the year I hopefully get my bike license and bike!

Like I said, many things happening this year. Getting my flash, Macbook in March, my bike! A new desktop which is a DIY Mac Pro whose parts I will be getting bit by bit and building bit by bit. Final would be the most important component I need to boot Mac OS X 10.6.

Tomorrow going down to Bukit Mearah to deposit money and transfer to the guy I'm getting my flash from. Gotta look for the cable model number for the flash which is another type of cable not included with the flash and get a quote for it. That's about it for tomorrow I guess.

School starting on Monday with C++ training which is seriously a drag since my team mates are seriously boring people and I have no idea what they want. Seriously... The first kopi session of the year organized by me and I'm so nervous about it. Hands on on the micro four thirds system with various legacy lenses with their respective adaptors as well as four third lenses. Hope to get my flash on the same day. Than hopefully Saturday or Sunday can get the book I got for Nyiyaz for myself. It's titled "Mastering Filters For Photography: Professional Digital And Optical Techniques" by Chris Weston. Seems like a good filter book and I sure hope it is!

Discussed with my friend Vivian about our photography business as well for this year since this will be the year it really takes off! Anyone needs a photographer to shoot your pictures, events, weddings etc... Feel free to look for me!

Thats all for today! Good night everyone, have a happy and fruitful 2010!
