Hey guys!
So yea... Today work started a little later because of the rain, finally it stops! Apparently its been raining for 3 days none stop, hadn't really realize that. Work was boring with a very boring thing to do today. But I didn't do much as it was close to knock off time.
Won't be doing much work in the office tomorrow as I'm off in the morning to go shoot at Chinatown, not sure which temple so will have to contact my boss in the morning to check the exact name so I can find the exact location, go there, shoot and go off. I'm still wondering if I should take my flash... Its seriously great to have my FL-50R back despite my 45 CL-1 being my work horse.
Speaking of flash.. I wanna get this DVD when it launches! By Joe McNally! Or featuring him... Not too sure... Check it out here!
As I'm typing, its raining again... Oh well, it was nice while it lasted :) Just hope that it stops tomorrow so I need not carry an umbrella and more importantly... I CAN SHOOT! Speaking of shooting... Here are 3 images I shot with the XZ-1 in grainy film, pop art and pinhole, pretty decent from a compact, the wide aperture sure helps a lot! All shot in art filter mode. They were all shot on my way to lunch, with the XZ-1 in my back pocket, really pocket-able camera, something the PENs were not capable of unless one probably wears cargo pants, then again... I have no idea what in the world are cargo pants :S
Obviously grainy film art filter, shot from waist
What caught my attention of the flower is not the bright colour, but rather the black fly inside the bright flower, shot in pop art with macro mode
While waiting for my noodles, I just randomly shot this hahaha, I know the black part is distracting
I saw some good stuff to shoot, but since it was drizzling or the things I wanna shoot are not accessible, makes it kinda sad, but I shall not push my luck.
So I've passed another XZ-1 to another moderator, would be interesting to see everyone's review. Probably will write my own personal one here when I get back a set to do my own review on Clubsnap. Or I'll copy and paste. Eitherway, I don't gain anything hahaha
Oh ya! My mentor is back in Singapore! Thank God he had a safe flight :D I just realized that I have a follower on my blog, interestingly... He seems to follow people who have something to do with photography, just like a guy named Robin Wong from Malaysia, and Strobist blog. The others never seen before, I'm the only one that he's following that is not a full time photography blog. Not so sure about Robin's one, but it would seem that Robin has quite a bit of photography stuff on his blog. Either way, I guess a thanks would be in order? Thank you Glen whoever you are. I honestly have no idea who you are. I don't know any Glen in the physical world.
In the past 2 weeks, people have been trying to psycho me to sell of my dearly beloved E-3 in exchange for a spanking new E-5. While it is tempting, the fact that my E-3 is not used to its full potential, not its end of life. I don't see a need to upgrade since the E-3 has and still is serving me well, and despite its quirks, I still love it very much. E-5, you can go to someone else's home, I'll see your "descendant" in a few years time, if Olympus does decide to make it hahaha. Chinese new year is coming in a couple of days... I'm not sure if I should be excited but yea... When the time comes, I'll know... That's all for today. Before I go, I wanna say this to a dear friend of mine. Dear Siew Mei, cheer up, there will always be someone who will care and love you. How do I know this? Because I know I will always be there and will always love you. God loves you too :)
Good night world!
